What if we are found guilty on that day? What will happen to us? The Bible tells us in the book of Revelation 20:11-14 what that day will be like:

"Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire."

We see another account of what will happen on that day in 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10. This is how the Apostle Paul describes that day:

"the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might, when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints"

What will hell be like?

The Bible says that it will be a "fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 13:50), and the Bible says in Revelation 14:11 of the people who go to hell that "the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night,"

The Bible tells us that "all have sinned" (Romans 3:23), and so that means that all are guilty under the Law of God. According to the scriptures we will all be judged by our works, and therefore be guilty because we have all sinned. If we are all guilty, and deserve hell (Romans 2:2-6), then how can we be made right with God? How can we escape His just wrath? >>
