Finally, it is important to understand that nothing we do can save us (Ephesians 2:8-9). The fruit of repentance is only an evidence of salvation, it is not the cause of it. We are saved by the grace of God alone, through faith alone in Christ alone.

You may be used to seeing a prayer at the end of gospel presentations, but a prayer cannot save you. Salvation comes by depending completely on the work of Jesus Christ's death on the cross, and rejecting the idea that we can add anything to our own salvation through works or personal effort.

If you pray, confess your sins to God and ask Him to give you genuine faith - a faith with repentance, which is the true evidence of salvation.

"May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all."
- 2 Corinthians 13:14
